Daily and Shabbat Minyanim

FRIDAY NIGHT 

 

6:45 PM In-Person, Outdoor Minyan at our Shaarei Parking Lot for those pre-registered at http://minyan.shaarei.org/. We will have an outdoor, socially distanced, Mincha/Kabbalat Shabbat/Maariv minyan on Friday night meeting in the Shul parking lot. Please note: participants must wear masks and honor all the attestations and conditions listed on the sign-up page. We will do a hechi-Kedusha for the Amida of Minchah. Parents may bring a child or children to stand with them if their child(ren) is/are able to stay at their side for the duration of the service.

6:15 PM Virtual Kabbalat Shabbat Live via ZOOM!

Please daven Minchah in advance. We will begin with brief words, have pre-davening singing, share in a songful Kabbalat Shabbat through Lekhah Dodi, then we will hang up, light Shabbat candles for the household, followed by the acceptance of Shabbat with Mizmor Shir LeYom HaShabbat and Maariv. Candle lighting is at 6:42 PM

SHABBAT MORNING - Parshat Nitzavim/Vayeilech

Latest Shema is 9:31  Sof Zeman Tefillah is 10:34 AM.

For those pre-registered, http://minyan.shaarei.org/, we will have two outdoor, socially distanced, minyanim on Shabbat morning meeting in the Shul parking lot 8 AM and 9:30 AM. Please note: participants must wear masks and honor all the attestations and conditions listed on the sign-up page. Please daven berakhot and pesukei d’zimra at home. We will start at Nishmat. We will recite the Amida of Shacharit and Musaf with Chazarat Hashatz this week. For Keriyat HaTorah, the Baal Koreh will receive all aliyot.  Parents may bring a child or children to sit with them if their child(ren) is/are able to stay at their side for the duration of the service.

Keriyat HaTorah: Although Torah reading is a Chovat Hatzibbur - a communal responsibility, we should still endeavor to read the parashah from a chumash, Parshat Nitzavim/Vayeilech 29:9 - 30:20. This week’s Haftorah is from Sefer Yeshayahu 61:10 - 63:9.

Minchah: Please daven any time after 1:12 PM, but before sunset at 6:58 PM, and then later eat Seudah Shelishit before sunset. If one begins their meal before sunset, one may continue eating after sunset. If needed, one may eat Seudah Shelishit before Minchah.

 


 

SHABBAT  PROGRAMS FOR FAMILIES 

 

10:45 AM IN THE PARKING LOT:

Parashah program for children ages 7 and under and their parents. 

Join us for engaging stories from the parashah, led by Jonah Hassenfeld. Masks must be worn by all ages 2 and up. Families will be spaced 10 feet apart. The program will last 20-30 minutes.

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM IN THE PARKING LOT:

In-Person Option for SHAAREI’s FAMILY LEARNING 

Shaarei Family Learning (SFL) continues this week with Masekhet Beitzah. We will be learning Mishnayot 5:5-7; Questions to guide study can be found here. If you’d like to join other families for learning, bring your own blanket for your family to sit on; blankets will be spaced 10 feet apart. Bring your own copy of the Mishnah and the questions. NCSY NEW PROGRAM THIS SHABBAT! 


NCSY has a new Shabbat afternoon program for middle and high schoolers at the Riesel Backyard.

Meet with Rabbi Riesel every Shabbos afternoon, one hour before mincha to enjoy some learning and snacks.

Each event will provide fun activities, games, and snacks (pre-packaged)

All 7th and 8th Graders are invited at 4:00 pm

All 9th and 10th Graders are invited at 5:00 pm
