Sunday, January 29, 2023 • 7 Shevat 5783
10:00 AM - 12:00 PMShaarei Social HallCommunity Artist (and Shaarei member) Tova Speter will facilitate a collaborative art project as part of Shaarei Tefillah’s 40th anniversary celebration year. Members will be encouraged to study a parsha over the winter months (either on your own, with your family, or with a hevruta), culminating in both a siyum and the creation of a community quilted chuppah to be used during Simchat Torah for Kol HaNearim/ot.
This project will engage all interested Shaarei members from families with young children to older adults, and will be designed to be accessible for those with varying abilities.
This in-person workshop will include:
- Introduction to the project
- Sharing of what art inspired by the parsha can look like
- Community learning
- Art activity
- Note: this workshop is geared toward families
