Topic: Why are the stories of Joseph in the Torah?

Prof. Marty Lockshin is University Professor Emeritus at York University and now lives in Jerusalem. He received his PhD in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University, and earned rabbinic ordination in Israel while studying in Yeshivat Merkaz HaRav Kook. Among his publications is a four-volume translation and annotation of Rashbam’s commentary on the Torah. He is the proud father/father-in-law and grandfather of Shoshie Lockshin, Rav Seth Winberg, and their children.
